I was born and raised in Reno and moved out to East Sparks in 2003. I have worked with children since I was 14. Starting out as a babysitter and moving into childcare programs at gyms and sports clubs. I was a Substitute teacher while in college and I graduated with a Bachelors in Science from the University of Nevada with a degree in Elementary Education in 2004. I worked for two years at Mamie Towles Elementary school before I decided to stay home with my children. I now have four amazing children, two with learning disabilities. With my youngest approaching kindergarten I decided to get back into my passion for teaching and learning. I strongly believe all children have unique and amazing abilities. My goal as a preschool teacher is to help my students realize that they have the capacity to do amazing things.

I was born and raised in Long Beach, California before moving to Northern California during my junior year of high school. I have been caring for children for more than 20 years and have taken many Early Childhood Education courses from Santa Rosa Junior College and here locally. I was a nanny for 6 years in Marin County, California before becoming a stay at home mom after the birth of my first child. I have 3 children, Kayla (18), Nathan (16), and Joshua (10). I have been married to my husband, Philip for 24 years! I operated a family childcare business in California and here in Sparks until I decided to join Purple Door! I feel so blessed and lucky to have been given the opportunity to work at such an amazing school. I love Stef's philosophy of "learning through play" and the passion she has for the children and families of Purple Door. I look forward to coming to work everyday to "play" with the children and guide them through their day and to help them foster a love of learning and discovery. In my spare time I love reading, enjoying the outdoors in this beautiful region and above all, spending time with my family.

I was born and raised on a ranch in north Reno and now reside in the north west area with my boyfriend and beagle pup. My experience working with children began as a teenager, babysitting regularly for seven years. Then right out of high school I worked for the city of Reno as a before and after school program Leader for two years. Currently, I volunteer for Big Brother Big Sisters, and I am in my senior year at the University Nevada, Reno for a BS in Human Development & Family Studies and a certification in CFLE. I am truly passionate about connecting with, inspiring, and educating children and their families. And I am so privileged to work at a preschool/community that allows me to do just that.
I was born and raised in Reno, and now live in Lemmon Valley. I am a graduate of TMCC High School. I plan to go to UNR next Spring for my Early Childhood Education Degree. Working at Purple Door has been my first experience in child care, and I realized pretty quickly that this is what I love to do. Seeing children's intelligence, curiosity, and eagerness to learn, inspires me to help them grow, as well as continue my own growth. I'm very excited to work at such an amazing preschool with other incredible teachers.
