I was born and raised in Long Beach, California before moving to Northern California during my junior year of high school. I have been caring for children for more than 20 years and have taken many Early Childhood Education courses from Santa Rosa Junior College and here locally. I was a nanny for 6 years in Marin County, California before becoming a stay at home mom after the birth of my first child. I have 3 children, Kayla (20), Nathan (18), and Joshua (12). I have been married to my husband, Philip for 24 years! I operated a family childcare business in California and here in Sparks until I decided to join Purple Door! I feel so blessed and lucky to have been given the opportunity to work at such an amazing school. I love Stef's philosophy of "learning through play" and the passion she has for the children and families of Purple Door. I look forward to coming to work everyday to "play" with the children and guide them through their day and to help them foster a love of learning and discovery. In my spare time I love reading, enjoying the outdoors in this beautiful region and above all, spending time with my family.

I am excited to join the team at Purple Door Preschool! For as long as I can remember, I have always enjoyed playing and engaging with children. I am a big kid myself! Even as a young girl, I knew I wanted to be a teacher and one day have a lot of kids of my own. Professionally, I have worked as an Infant/ Toddler Director and as an ABA in-home tutor for students with special needs. Most recently, I was employed for five years at a local non-profit school for children with autism. While working full-time, I attended TMCC and took most of my Early Childhood Education courses from Linda O’Neil! I am currently enrolled at UNR to finish my bachelor’s degree in Human Development Family Studies. I am a passionate, kind, dedicated person and educator. I believe that anything learned in pleasure is learned in full measure. I like to make every day a fun and interactive learning experience. In my free time, I enjoy staying active with my family. I have been married for 26 years and have 3 boys. I like to camp, run, ski, and explore the great outdoors!

I am so excited to be a part of Purple Door Preschool! I was born and raised in Reno, Nevada where I also attended the University of Nevada, Reno. I graduated in 2017 with my degree in Human Development and Family Studies. I grew up babysitting and discovered my passion for early childhood education when I worked at the Child and Family Research Center, Early Head Start, at UNR! I love to be silly and I enjoy watching children explore, discover, and grow from their time at school! I love the outdoors and you can often find me camping or hiking with my two dogs and my soon to be husband! I am looking forward to all the fun, playing, and learning we will be doing at school!
I was born and raised in Reno, Nevada. I am a recent graduate of Spanish Spring High School and I have had many years of experience with children, babysitting and nannying for multiple years. I have been a teacher at Purple Door for over a year. I feel extremely lucky to be a part of the Purple Door family and having the opportunity to get to know each and every child, watching them learn and grow. It amazes me every day how much we can learn from them, just as much as they learn from us. I have always been interested in early childhood education and plan to further my education in the field.

Hello! My name is Ravyn. I was born and raised in Reno, Nevada. I graduated from Reno High in 2017 and I am currently attending TMCC to receive an Associate in Science. I eventually plan on furthering my education in Medicine at UNR. I have been caring for children throughout the years, babysitting and working at summer camps in Tahoe. I started working at Purple Door Preschool in 2019 and it instilled a passion in me to continue with this work. I love it! It opened up many opportunities for me and has inspired an idea of a future as a Pediatrician. Before I came to Purple Door I was an elderly caregiver. I knew that in the future all I wanted to do was better the lives of those around me by providing love, company, and care. I was drawn to Purple Door because children are just starting their lives, they’re our future! A child’s creativity and curiosity are what brightens my days and makes each one unique and exciting. Each day at Purple Door reminds me to have fun and always make time for play! When I’m off the clock I like to spend my time focusing on my art, reading books, and writing poetry. I enjoy the outdoors as well. I love going on hikes, riding bikes, and walking my dog Chrono. I am blessed to have been allowed to work with a diverse group of children at an amazing school and I hope to continue with Purple Door for the years to come, creating special bonds with all the children.
